Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Cool Apps LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company. They govern your use of the CL Deduplicator Chrome extension and the website at cl-dedup.com. By installing or using the extension, you accept them. If you do not accept them, you must remove the extension and cease using this site.

1. What CL Deduplicator does

The extension identifies listings that appear to be duplicates of one another on supported websites and hides the repeats at your instruction. On used vehicle listing pages it adds a button linking to a vehicle history report.

Duplicate detection is automated and works from the information a listing displays. It will occasionally hide something that was not a duplicate, or leave a duplicate visible. It is a convenience, not a guarantee, and you should not rely on it to see every listing that exists.

2. Free use, and what a license costs

Hiding duplicates is free for five searches. A search only counts against those five when the extension actually hides something — if a search contains no duplicates, nothing was hidden and nothing is counted. Returning to a search you have already deduplicated does not count either, and neither does re-sorting one or switching between gallery, list, and map.

To keep hiding duplicates after that, you buy a license:

• 1-year license — $9.99 USD. Runs for 365 days from the date of purchase, then stops.
• Lifetime license — $19.99 USD. Does not expire. See section 2.2 for what "lifetime" means.

Prices are set in U.S. dollars. The payment page may display and charge an equivalent amount in your local currency.

The vehicle history button is not affected by any of this. It works from the moment you install the extension, whether or not you ever buy a license.

2.1 Nothing renews automatically

No card is stored and nothing is ever charged again without you going through checkout yourself. A 1-year license runs its term and then simply stops working. There is no automatic renewal to cancel, no trial that converts into a charge, and no way for us to bill you a second time. If you want another year, you buy another year.

Because a 1-year license expires quietly, we send an expiry reminder by email about 30 days beforehand. That reminder is part of the service, not marketing, and you receive it whether or not you have opted in to hearing from us about anything else.

2.2 What "Lifetime" means

The lifetime of the product, not the lifetime of the purchaser. A Lifetime license is scoped to CL Deduplicator only. It does not extend to other Cool Apps LLC products, or to any future bundle. If CL Deduplicator is discontinued under section 12, a Lifetime license ends with it.

2.3 Price changes

Prices may rise. The two licenses are treated differently, and both are stated here so neither is a surprise.

A Lifetime license is honored at its original terms permanently — including one bought at $19.99 after the price has gone up. We will not come back and ask for the difference.

A 1-year license is honored for the term you bought, at the price you paid. Renewing is a new purchase at whatever the price is on the day you renew. It is not a price lock.

2.4 Upgrading from a 1-year license to Lifetime

Upgrading from a 1-year license to a Lifetime license is a new, separate purchase at the current Lifetime price. No credit or proration is applied for any unused portion of an existing 1-year license. Your 1-year license remains valid until its expiry date and is superseded by the Lifetime license.

3. Payment, and who you are buying from

Payments are processed by Link, which acts as merchant of record for the sale. Link takes the payment, issues your receipt, and handles refunds.

Your card statement will read LINK.COM. It will not name CL Deduplicator or Cool Apps LLC. This is expected and is not an unauthorized charge. If you are trying to identify a charge weeks later, LINK.COM is what to look for.

Checkout takes place on a payment page in a separate tab. The extension never sees your payment details, and no card information passes through it or through us at any point.

3.1 Refunds

Refunds are handled by Link as merchant of record, under Link's refund policy. Cool Apps LLC does not impose any additional restriction on it.

Separately, and in addition to that: if you ask us within 14 days of purchase, we will approve a refund without asking why. That is a commitment we are making, not a deadline we are setting — a request made after 14 days is still handled under Link's policy, which may well grant it.

A license that has been refunded or charged back is revoked and stops working.

4. Your license key and activations

After purchase, your license key is emailed to you. It is not displayed on the thank-you page — email is the only place it is delivered, so keep that message. If you lose it, we can email it to you again at the address you bought with.

A license may be active on five installations at once. Activating a sixth does not lock you out: the least recently used activation is retired to make room. You can reactivate a retired installation whenever you like, which will in turn retire whichever one is then oldest.

Your license key is a credential and it is yours. Do not publish it, sell it, or pass it to anyone else.

5. Affiliate links

The vehicle history button is an affiliate link. Cool Apps LLC earns a commission when you purchase a report through it. A 10% discount is applied automatically, and the commission does not increase what you pay.

The report itself is sold and produced by Detailed Vehicle History, not by us. We make no representation about the accuracy or completeness of any report. Questions, refunds, and disputes about a report are between you and Detailed Vehicle History.

6. Age requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to use CL Deduplicator. By using it you confirm that you are.

7. Acceptable use

Use the extension for its intended purpose — browsing listings for yourself. Do not:

• Use it to scrape, harvest, or bulk-collect listing data
• Redistribute, resell, or repackage it
• Publish, sell, or share your license key, or use a key you did not buy
• Attempt to generate affiliate commissions through artificial clicks or purchases
• Use automated means to defeat the free-use limit or the activation limit
• Use it in a way that violates the terms of craigslist or any other site it runs on

8. Intellectual property

CL Deduplicator — including its source code, user interface, design, text, logo, and name — is the property of Cool Apps LLC and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. © 2026 Cool Apps LLC. Buying a license buys the right to use the extension. It does not transfer any ownership of it. You may not copy, modify, republish, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from the extension or any part of it, or present it as your own, except where a law that applies to you grants a right that cannot be excluded by agreement.

Chrome extensions are distributed as readable code, and we do not obfuscate ours — that is a Chrome Web Store requirement rather than a decision to give anything away. Being able to read the code does not grant a license to reuse it.

9. Other websites and services

CL Deduplicator is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by craigslist, Inc., Cars.com, AutoTrader, CarGurus, Detailed Vehicle History, Link, Stripe, or Google. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.

Those websites can change at any time, and a change to how they are built may stop the extension from working correctly until we update it. We have no control over them and are not responsible for their content, their listings, or anyone you deal with through them.

10. No warranty

CL Deduplicator is provided as is and as available, without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will identify every duplicate listing.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cool Apps LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of CL Deduplicator — including any decision you make about buying, selling, or renting anything you found or did not find through it.

Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the extension will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100) or the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim, whichever is greater.

12. Changes and discontinuation

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue CL Deduplicator, in whole or in part, at any time. We may also update these terms; if we do, we will change the date at the top of this page, and material changes will be announced by email to license holders before taking effect. Continuing to use the extension after a change means you accept the updated terms.

13. Ending this agreement

You may end this agreement at any time by removing the extension from Chrome. We may end it if you use the extension in a way that breaks these terms. Removing the extension does not by itself entitle you to a refund; refunds are covered by section 3.1.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming.
